50 is the new 30? ...and heavenly sunsets
Well, its the new year, which means its also time for another birthday, ugh. Another year around the sun and while I should be grateful (and I'm trying) its proving to be really challenging. This past year started with the highest of highs, and finished with the lowest of lows. Its been a little over eight months since Katie passed. Its hard to believe its been eight months already but it has. It seems like this nightmare started yesterday. Even though this has been an awful

Happy Anniversary sweetheart...
Today is our first wedding anniversary! One year ago today I married the love of my life. And if you've been paying attention to the blog so far, you'll know of whom I am speaking of. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. We had a Christmas wedding at a small Inn in Michigan. I love Christmas. Its my favorite time of year. So really, where to begin?
While I've made a couple of posts so far, mostly those were to test the waters and get my feet wet to this whole blog thing. But now that I think I've got the basic hang of it, where should I start? And being able to cook with my wife was a true blessing these past few years. I loved being in the kitchen with Katie. We really en

ok... Post #2!
Hello world... or in this case one or two people (I don't really expect people to come to this site often, and that's ok! I've been trying to decide how to really get going on this site, and what to start sharing. There are so many stories, so many memories, its hard to decide where to begin. So I will begin with this post. And really this post is more about WHY I am doing this and what to expect. This blog (as I've mentioned) is to honor my beautiful and amazing (late) wife

Here we go...
December 27, 2024 So... this is really more of a test than a post. But hey, I have to start somewhere. Today marks the 6th month anniversary of Katie's passing. Hard to believe its been six months already. While it has flown by, it felt like time has stood still. Everyday, every moment living in this hell of a reality. But with each day I press forward, with her by my side. I am going to keep this post short. Mostly I just want to see if I can actually figure out how to do th
